Chris J. Martinez, Chief Operating Officer
Chris Martinez is a retired law enforcement officer who has progressively responsible experience with the New Mexico State Police, including ten years of direct management and executive leadership experience. Chris Martinez has instructed over 2000 students to include students at ITT Technical Institute as an Adjunct Instructor in the Criminal Justice Program. Chris Martinez initiated and developed a training curriculum for agencies and business across the state. He is responsible for conducting internal investigations and oversees contract security to ensure they are fulfilling contract needs and are current RLD NMAC guidelines to operate as a security guard and a company. Chris Martinez is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of corporate employees.
(New Mexico State Police, Commander of Special Operations Bureau), Chris Martinez was responsible for overseeing the efforts of the Special Operations Bureau to include the Canine Team, Accident Reconstruction Team, Aircraft Aviation Team, Tactical Team, Bomb Team, Emergency Response Team, Motorcycle Unit, Search and Recovery Dive Team, and the Honor Guard. Chris Martinez ensured preparedness programs were in place, in order to improve relationships within the respective districts throughout the state and strengthen departmental accountability. Chris Martinez directed thirty (30) commissioned personnel, and implemented impact operations across the State of New Mexico to ensure a safer community proactive approach. Chris Martinez also assisted in management with making well informed decisions by providing research on training, operations, structuring Incident Command Systems, and administrative practices.
(New Mexico State Police, Commander of Research and Development Section), Chris Martinez was responsible for developing comprehensive written policies, reports, and analyses. Chris Martinez ensured preparedness programs were in place, in order to improve relationships within the community and strengthen agency accountability.
New Mexico State Police, Special Investigations Division), Chris Martinez was responsible for overseeing the efforts of the SID to investigate violations of the criminal and administrative law, and the through the enforcement of the Liquor Control Act, the Tobacco Compliance and the administration of the Concealed Handgun Carry Act. Chris Martinez directed thirty-five (35) employees, over hundred (100) operationally, and overseen a 2.2 million dollar operating budget plans and implements compliance operations across the State of New Mexico to ensure the twenty four hundred (2,400) liquor licenses are in compliance with the New Mexico Liquor Control Act. Chris Martinez implemented several training programs for the Department of Public Safety, New Mexico State Police, which included the involvement of ITT Technical Institute.
(New Mexico State Police Lieutenant, Investigations Bureau and Standards Bureau). As a Lieutenant, Chris Martinez oversaw all criminal investigational activities of Agents throughout the state of New Mexico, which covered a diversity of criminal offenses ranging from computer crimes to homicides.In the Standards Bureau, Chris Martinez conducted state-wide administrative investigations on employees of the Department of Public Safetyand assisted in the development and oversaw implementation of department policies, standards, and regulations.
In addition to his law enforcement career, Chris Martinez earned his Bachelors of Science, Occupational Education through Wayland Baptist College. Also, in addition to instructing at ITT Technical Institute, Chris Martinez serves as a mentor to current students in the Criminal Justice Field. Chris Martinez is currently the Chairman of New Mexico Private Investigations Advisory Board.
